The weather was nasty and windy on Christmas Eve - the night of the Keir Family's beach portrait session. Everyone was a great sport and was having a lot of fun, despite the weather. We love their matching holiday shirts!

Longboat Key Family Portraits - Treece Family

Bad weather was rolling in as we met the Treece Family on Longboat Key for their family beach portrait session. We worked fast and squeezed in as many groupings as we could before it started to downpour! Thanks to the Treece Family for being great sports!

Siesta Key Beach Portraits - Brennan Family

After getting drenched in the rain on Monday night, we weren't very happy when we saw the thunderstorms rolling in again on Tuesday. We met the Brennan family on Siesta Key and we had to speed things up a bit so we could get in all the important shots before the storms arrived. We didn't get wet this time, but we did have to call it a night a bit early due to lightning that was getting a little too close for comfort. We were still able to get lots of great photos of the Brennan family enjoying the beautiful white sand of Siesta Key. On our way home, we couldn't believe the weather (especially the lightning!) and we were glad we weren't standing on the beach any more!

Sarasota Engagement Photos on Siesta Key - Jessica and Ronnie

We met Jessica and Ronnie at Crystal Sands on Siesta Key for their engagement session on Monday night. About halfway through, the approaching storms picked up speed. Just as we were about to run for cover, a torrential downpour caught up with us and we all got completely soaked. Jessica and Ronnie were great sports about the whole situation. We got some great photos of this cute couple (before we all got wet)!

Siesta Key Beach Portraits on Turtle Beach - Kisseberth Family

The Kisseberth Family's beach portrait session marked our 4th in a row with bad weather. The sun was shining, but the cold temperatures and high winds made things difficult for us again. With one son home from the Air Force only for two days, the Kisseberths were determined to get their family portraits done no matter what! We managed to stay on the beach for a decent amount of time, but like the previous night, we did not make it til sunset (too cold!). We snuck around behind Fisherman's Cove, where they were staying on Turtle Beach, and took some additional shots without the wind in everyone's faces and hair.

Siesta Key Beach Portraits - Hawley Family

The bad weather continued with the Hawley Family at the Palm Bay Club on Siesta Key last Wednesday night. The Hawleys tried to brave the wind and cold but with 7 kids ages 4 and under, it was just too chilly. We managed to get a few nice shots outside, and then we retreated inside to take some photos of Grandma and Grandpa with their 7 grandchildren and lots of other family photos.

Anna Maria Island Beach Portraits - Brocke Family

The weather on the night the Brockes were supposed to have their family beach portrait session on Anna Maria Island was HORRIBLE. It was an absolute downpour outside, with terrible wind as well. The whole family was only on vacation all together for this one day, so they asked us to take their family portraits indoors. 

We were happy we were able to help them capture their family gathering!
