Sarasota Proposal and Engagement Photos at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens - Kyle and Carrie

Kyle planned an elaborate cover story to convince Carrie to come to Selby Gardens for a photo shoot so he could propose in the beautiful garden setting. They flew into town and the airline lost his luggage, which meant he had to buy new clothes, shoes, and even a substitute ring so he could pop the question! Carrie was surprised and said "Yes!" We're so glad we got to be a part of their story! (Kyle got the call that his luggage was delivered mid-way through their session, phew!)

(Side note: Jason was very excited because he got to use the 135mm f/2L and 200mm f/2L on this shoot!)

More Holiday Photos - Our 3 Handsome Nephews at Selby Gardens

This is part of a series of posts containing 2013 Holiday Photos of us, our family, and friends - We've been holding off posting these until we were sure everybody's holiday cards went out! More posts coming up soon!  Enjoy!

We are very lucky to have three handsome nephews who live right here in town, ages 7, 5, and 4. (You may recognize them from last year's Christmas card photos and this post about my favorite lens, the 135mm f/2.) We get to see them a lot and they are tons of fun. We're also lucky because their parents usually let us invade their house at a ridiculously early hour on Christmas morning to watch them open gifts! They're at the perfect age right now for experiencing the magic of Santa Claus and Christmas. 

We decided to take them to the grand opening of the new Children's Garden at Selby Gardens in November, and while we were there, we took some photos for their holiday cards this year. Afterwards, the boys had a great time exploring the new kids' area.

Sarasota Wedding at Selby Gardens - Linda and David

Linda and David had a gorgeous day for their Selby Gardens wedding (after a rainy week). Linda and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at Fresh. Salon. Spa. Style. on Main Street in Sarasota and then got ready at the mansion at Selby Gardens. Their wedding details included tropical bouquets by Beneva Flowers. Linda and David's reception featured a delicious sushi buffet at JPan in Lakewood Ranch and a gorgeous cake topped with fresh berries by Pastries by Design! Yum!
